Yesterday I decided to add a few porcelain pieces to the idea of the display. Since the sales prices of my porcelain vary greatly and the idea is to keep things accessible to a wide range of people I've painted this cute yet simple little 3" heart box.
Porcelain painting is very rewarding. If you've never tried it I highly recommend it. It is by far the most difficult painting medium I have ever tried but the results are like no other. These patterns of small roses would be a great student/beginner project. The beautiful and talented JeRaye May taught me how to paint these many years ago. Anyway...back to the box.
It's tough to photograph porcelain because you need the light to show the work yet the surface is very reflective. I am by no means a professional photographer as you can see but I think you can see most of the details except for the bottom edge of the box has a green scalloped trim.
I think I'll paint a few more small pieces like this and soon it will be time to take a shot of how the display is coming along.
